Have I mentioned that I am a huge baseball fan? Specifically a huge Twins fan? Oh man I love those boys...always have and I always will! In 1987, when I was 3-4 years old, I could name the entire starting line up for the Twins, their positions, and could tell you exactly who they were just by seeing them for a second! And they won the World Series that year!!! Maybe I should be able to do that this season and they might have a shot!
Now you might be thinking...who could Becky's favorite baseball player ever be?? Well, I'll tell you....KKKKKIIIIIIRRRRBBBBBBBYYYYYY PUCKETTTTTT! Oh man...that guy was and is and will always be my favorite baseball player. Now sure I have other players that I love but Kirby is #1!
I was fortunate enough to go to the last official regular season game played at the Metrodome. They named the Top Ten Metrodome Moments and the All-Metrodome Team....I cried! I'm a sap! Here are some pictures from that amazing afternoon:
Kirby was the #1 Moment!!
Kirby again! (They had to have an old video of him since he's dead)
My cousin Jakey Poo and I at the game
This is Jakey Poo, Abby, Justin and I at the game....so much fun!
I also fortunate enough to go to the 1987 Reunion Weekend in 2007. This was of course before the last game at the Metrodome but that's the way the pictures loaded! I went with My Mom, My sister, KT, My Aunt Carolyn (Nonny), and My cousins Ciera and Brytni. We went to a couple Twins games and did some shopping at the Mall of America. Not really your typical girl weekend (well, with the exception of the shopping) but it was how we do girl weekends! The baseball thing is kind of a disease in our family!
My KT and I at the game....she loved it! I'm so proud to call her my sister!
Here are a few pictures of Twins players, Justin Morneau (HOT HOT HOT) and Pat Neshek! These were taken at Kauffman Stadium. By the way...I do live in KC and I am a proud Royals fan as long as the Twins are not in town!
And finally, I had to get my newest cousin Carrie her first Twins shirt! She's so freakin adorable! And I, of course, had to wear a Twins shirt when she opened hers so we could take our picture together. I know, it's not your typical Baptism gift but she's going to be a Twins fan just like her Cousin Becky!
