I'm not sure if you are all aware of this or not but it snowed! Snow in Kansas City usually means ice too.
Jersey does not like snow....in fact Jersey hates snow. It's too cold on his little feet.
Anyway, he did ok going out to potty yesterday morning. At first he didn't think he wanted to be out there but then I think his bladder said "Hey dude, I need some relief and they are going to be mad at you if you relieve me inside." So he pottied and immediately ran back to the door.
But, last night he went outside and promptly slipped on a patch of ice and fell down. He very cautiously got up and looked at the door as if to say "Screw this Mom. I'll wait to pee until all this crap is gone." He then immediately pranced to the door so I let him in. And he didn't have an accident all night. I wish I would have caught this on video because it was pretty hilarious.
This morning it was like Jersey had momentarily forgotten about the snow. When I said "Jersey wanna go outside?" he was just as excited as ever. But then I opened the door and he took one step outside and all of the memories of the previous night came rushing back to him and tried to come back in. I'm a mean Mom though and shut the door so he couldn't get back in. So, Jersey accepted defeat and went to the edge of the concrete to pee. Then I think he decided hey maybe this stuff isn't quite so terrible and he walked around a bit. But he hit another patch of ice. He didn't fall this time but his back legs went a little bit further apart than normal and he was DONE. He pranced back to the door and didn't care that he knew he was supposed to go poo still, he was coming inside.
Poor little dude. I think he needs some snow boots! Maybe Santa can hook a brother up! I'll try to get some Jersey in the snow pictures...but since he HATES it I'm not making any guarantees!
